Zermatt and Matterhorn

Last week, we went to Zermatt (about 2 1/2 hours away from here). It's a quaint little town that doesn't have cars. It is only accessible by train and the train ride is amazing. It's in a valley area, so it's absolutely beautiful! Overshadowing the town is the most recognizable mountain in Switzerland...the Matterhorn. We spent several hours just walking around town and taking in the sites. It was a sunny and almost cloud-free day. The clouds were just at the tip-top of the mountain, so we couldn't see the peak entirely. It was a gorgeous day and we really enjoyed seeing the sites. Maybe we'll try and go skiing here sometime!!
