Back in SWZ

So, we made it back yesterday from our time in the US.
The first weekend, we got to see our newest nephew, Kolton Joshua, who was born a little early, but just in time for us to come home and see him (perfect timing) and the majority of our families. We hung out with Gene's family on Saturday, then mine on Sunday. It was great to see all the kids again!! They all grew up so much!! The first week was staff meetings for me in Decatur. It was a bunch of training and catching up with co-workers from the US and South America. Gene had a busy week, too. He spent most of his time with his family...golfing, unfortunately a family member's funeral, then tearing out most of his parent's bathroom and repairing it with his dad and brother-in-law, Travis. We also found out this week that one of my best friends and her husband, Angie and Nick, are expecting their first baby. Congrats!! And, we ate tons of good food that we missed (I had Mexican 4 times the first week!!!).
The second weekend, I got my hair cut by Kera, man I missed her!!! I also did laundry at my mom's, while Gene helped finish up the bathroom. Then, we celebrated Gena's birthday and not mine (or at least I didn't acknowledge it). On Sunday, we had Kolton's baptism so Gene could be there since he was a godfather. Sunday night, we headed to Springfield and stayed with the Brusky's. Monday we all went to the IL State Fair. Then, back to work for the rest of the week and more eating out!!
The last weekend, we went to Pam (Buenker) and Paul Doyle's wedding in Decatur. We had a great time!! The last week was "vacation". We spent the time going to the doctor and dentist, shopping for all those things we missed/needed, more eating out, seeing more friends and family, went to the Cardinal game (they won), and barely getting enough sleep! But, we had a great time and already miss being home with everyone.
The trip home wasn't too bad, just exhausting! We made it home on Sunday about 5 pm, or about 10 AM Central IL time. We did some laundry and unpacking...Gene crashed out and I checked emails and watched a movie (Confessions of a Shopaholic - great movie, but they changed quite a bit of it from the book....like it's based in NY City instead of London).
Now, back to work today.....................
